Do you sell used bikes? I am looking for an old women’s 10 speed from the late seventies and early eighties. I currently own a nineteen seventies peugeot 10 speed that needs front forks with french thread. Can you repair it? If not can you advise me how to find such a bike I mentioned earlier?
Yes, we do sell used bicycles. However, it is peak season so they go quickly. We should have 3 Schwinns and a Puch ready by the end of this week.
Your Peugeot will most likely have french threading if it is an extremely early 70′s model. If this is the case we could install an english threaded headset with a standard replacement fork. As with any repair it is best to bring it by to see what can be done.

I’ve been doing some research and there are a number of websites advertising single speed completes for anywhere between 300 and 500 dollars. On these sites you can choose colors of every part and are typical given a choice of steel frames. Can you meet or beat these prices on a custom ordered bike, ordered/put together through Cyclus (understanding that it would probably take longer for you to build than the big internet sales folk)? I’m interested in doing a build to get ready for spring commutes, thanks

You get what you pay for. We would build you a bike of better quality but it would be in the $400-450 range. After shipping and assembly by a shop you would spend close to this buying a bike online. We do have a decent avaliablity of colors, but it would be best to stop by and give us an idea of what you want and we can go from there. It would take about 2 weeks to order and build. Thanks.

What is the smallest frame that you carry for mens road bikes?
The smallest road frame we can get is the Pake C’Mute. It is dark grey and 47 cm. Soma carries the Smoothie (white) and the Road Sport ES (red) in 48cm. This would be a special order, so please call for pricing and availability.
can you guys help me install an american bottom bracket
Yes, we install bottom brackets. The labor would be $15.
I am looking for an older model mountain bike (one without suspension) that has horizontal dropouts. I am 6’2″ and would like to convert it into a single speed. Do you carry any bikes that would work?
We only have two used bikes in stock right now, a ladies cruiser and a kids mountain bike. You are more than welcome to check back. We get bikes in from time to time, but lately we’ve been running a little on low.
